The ICT Water Level Meter (WLM) is a rugged, self-contained, standalone logger designed to collect and transform data from SDI-12 sensors, the WLM is able to receive up to 255 parameters from a maximum of 62 individual sensors via Combined Instrument Software (CIS). Designed to allow easy access to the collected data, the WLM Logger stores data on an internal MicroSD card for retrieval either using the USB port, 2.4GHz wireless network, or when combined with the ICT International Telemetry hub via the mobile phone or Iridium satellite networks.
Configuring the WLM using CIS, the user has the ability to enter a reference water level, thereby allowing logged levels to be referenced to local or national datum points for surface water monitoring, or depth to water for groundwater monitoring.
The WLM converts recorded level into flow rates or volumes based on user defined parameters:
The WLM can be factory optioned to support analogue and 4 – 20mA sensors.
Collected data is stored on an easily removable internal MicroSD card in CSV format, allowing a user to either take the card out and read the data file directly on their PC or connect directly to the WLM via a USB cable. Remote access using either a 2.4GHz wireless network – over distances up to 4km depending on setup and environmental conditions – or in combination with the ICT International Telemetry Hub (utilising either a 3G mobile phone or the Iridium Satellite network), data can be transferred wirelessly and uploaded to the cloud-based data server.
The ICT International Combined Instrument Software (CIS) provides an intuitive interface for viewing live measurements, downloading logged data and configuring sensors. Powered by an internal Li-Po battery, the WLM is kept charged by directly connecting a solar panel to the logger. When charging via a solar panel, the battery charge rate is automatically matched to available sunlight and battery status.
The ICT Water Level Meter provides a data collection solution for catchment wide water level and flow monitoring applications.
